Microsoft Kinect Kinectimals - Ever heard of the game called Black and White? In this game you not only get to play God but what you do on this fictitious planet or world of yours is committed by a pet. Now this kinect game is called Kinectimals and seriously reminds me of this Black and White game that I used to play on the computer. Not only do you get your own pet to play with, you get to take care of it and stroke it. Of course you do not get to play God in Kinectimals and you need not take over another God’s territory or followers, and there are much more things you can do to your pet in Kinectimals too. You can cuddle, kiss and choose from a wide variety of pets including the lion, tiger, leopard, panther or cheetah.

So if you are in need of a pet but maybe your parents are not keen, because either they think you are too young and thus not mature enough to take care and be responsible for a pet, or if they are scared the pet would leave hair or fur all over the place or maybe chew up your furniture, then the Kinectimals is the perfect game for you. There is of course another possibility that you have this fantasy to rear pets that can only be kept in a zoo like the tiger or lion so obviously that is not possible and you can only do that in a virtual environment. 

Once you have chosen a pet, you can choose to play with them with games such as a simple fetch. Using the kinect x360 motion sensor, your hand movements will be detected and these will be interpreted as throwing an object or cuddling and stroking. To give you more background info, the animals from Kinectimals live on a remote island and have not seen a human for a long period of time. But now they have absolutely fallen with the first human being they have seen in years, which of course is you! 

You start of first by choosing a cub. You get to play mini-quests and of course play with your pet cub. As you progress you will unlock new areas to explore and even get more pets. It is your pet who would lead you to these areas. You can also teach your pets tricks such as teaching them how to jump, spin around, do star jumps or even play dead. If they like you, they will even lick you and smile. 

There are obstacle courses to challenge, remote controlled cars to play with, rubber chickens to throw and balls and Frisbees to fetch. As you complete games and tasks, you also get some gold coins which are the currency in the game. You use this to buy stuff for your pets, including balls, toy bones, collars and even a furbrush. You can also decorate your virtual house and change any of the furniture or items inside it.

My only grouse about this game is that there seems to be some sensor accuracy issues. But this does not matter because the target audience is children who would just like to have a virtual pet and play with them. Of course like all microsoft kinect games, they do not come cheap and the price for this game is definitely not justified. Of course like I said if your kids want a virtual pet and they are pestering you to get the Kinectimals then I guess you have no other choice but to buy this game! You should buy this game if and only if you like everything cute and of course if your kids are begging you to get a pet but you will never give in, unless it is a virtual one that is. You can even get Kinectimals in Limited Edition bundles featuring the plushes of the animals, such as the King Cheetah or the Maltese Tiger. Of course you can always buy these plush toys separately.

Do remember that Kinectimals  would require the kinect for the xbox 360. The kinect date of release was end 2010 so it is already in the market and you do not even need to pre-order it. I have previously reviewed other kinect games such as Your Shape Fitness Evolved and Dance Central but these are more for adults and those who want to keep fit and lose weight. The 360 kinect bundle is considered cheap if you ask me because it includes a game. The kinect xbox price is currently at $150 but if you get the xbox 360 bundle with kinect it costs $300 for the 4GB console so it really is cheap if you buy the xbox together with the kinect and that is of course when you do not already have an xbox. So the price of kinect is quite low but I guess the games still cost quite high. But if you are like me, somebody who loves Microsoft products and like motion sensing games by the Xbox 360 Kinect, then it is really worth your money to get this and just have fun fun fun!

Xbox Kinect Your Shape Fitness Evolved – Now this x360 kinect game is a bag of fun. With the new Kinect sensor, keeping fit has never been this fun before. When you first start this kinect game Your Shape Fitness Evolved, it will scan your body’s shape and proportion, such as the length of your torso and legs. Once this scanning process is done, a silhouette will be created on screen which also becomes your avatar! Well if you want to have a fitter avatar, you might want to try out some of the games which I have earlier reviewed to help you slim down first, such as Dance Central or even Kinect Adventures!

Anyways the purpose of this xbox kinect game is indeed to help you to slim down and get fit so if you are in need to tone down then there is nothing wrong to buy the Your Shape Fitness Evolved, which is currently the best and best selling fitness game for the xbox 360 with kinect. I know that most kinect games actually come with a physically demanding gameplay but this is really to track your fitness level. Like the Kinect Sports was created to rival Wii Sports, Your Shape Fitness Evolved is somewhat similar to the Wii Fit, but only better!

Now that you have created your silhouette, it will actually move in tandem with your actions when you do your exercises. You will be guided by the games virtual trainer avatar and the trainer will even provide feedback to you if it feels that you are not putting in effort. Your coach will alsol help correct your form by adding guidelines to the screen so you know exactly where your arm or leg should be placed and you can see it in real-time. If you think you can cheat the game, think again. The kinect motion sensing equipment is so sensitive that there is no way you can sit on a couch and let the game assume that you are doing your squats. Fitness comes with a price for this kinect game.

So care to take up the Your Shape Fitness Evolved fitness-simulation game? Again no controllers are required and the game will happily track your progress through various exercises, including counting the calories that you are burning. Stop exercising and the calorie counter stops too. Even when you need to answer the phone call, the game will automatically pause as it ceases to detect your presence. This is one intelligent game.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved is built with the camera, depth sensors and multi-array microphone of the Microsoft Kinect sensor in mind and allows for real-time motion capture of your movements, including facial recognition. It comes with both voice and interactive menu commands. Together with Ubisoft's Player Projection Technology, the Kinect sensor is able to track up to a million data points on your body, resulting in a very accurate motion sensing. You get a hundred per cent player engagement without any lags so you will totally enjoy the motion!

Do also check out the other features in the game including in-game instructors, multiple exercise classes, workouts created by real experts, progress tracking and multiplayer support as you challenge your friends using Xbox LIVE multiplayer. Choose from three modes of game play including personal training, fitness classes and gym games. You can also choose a personal trainer to help you meet your specific fitness goals, take a Yoga or Martial Arts class, or play fun, family-friendly mini-games. It is really up to you how you want to get fit and how much you want to do.

The good part about this game is the work outs. Some of these are created by Fitness Experts, such as a martial arts class lead by Michael George, who has trained celebrities including Reese Witherspoon and P.Diddy, as well as a weight loss class lead by Michelle Bridges, trainer for all 5 seasons on Australia's "The Biggest Loser". You will never do the same workout twice ever again as you choose from over hundreds of exercises, not adding in the extra downloadable content that will provide new and cool workouts. 

Hope that you will do fine in shedding some weight and you might even want to track your progress and share it online, that is if you are making good progress that can be bragged about. Your stats can be uploaded online and shared with friends and family so not only can you check out the competition but also challenge your friends family or loved ones to reach selected fitness goals. As a form of encouragement, the game also provides you with visuals such as paint, water, light, fire, confetti that match your movement and impact as you master the fitness moves.  You will have so much fun that you will forget you are losing weight!

Kinect Xbox Dance Central – This is my third article on my Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect Games Review blog and I have yet another great kinect game to introduce to everyone. This is the Dance Central game. If you still do not know the xb360 kinect has already been released and it has become one of the bestselling consoles so far. Without the use of a controller, you can take part in fun and interactive game play together with your friends and family just right in front of the television. The release date kinect has just been over in early November so it is high time that you get your own set! The xbox kinect cost is not high and  you just need to invest a little money to get the hottest games on the planet!

So what is this new game about? Check out Kinect Dance Central which was created exclusively for the Xbox 360 Kinect and can be said to be the first real dance game experience that is fun for everyone! Remember the older days when you had Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade? This was also replicated by various game consoles that required the use of a directional pad. Now with the Kinect Dance Central, you do not even need such pads any more! You can dance to your heart content on your living room floor and let the Kinect sensor detect your footwork. That is not all. You can add in some torso twisting moves or even sway your arms to the beat and let Dance Central decide if you are doing alright on the dance floor. Perhaps with the wave of a hand, you can even move kinect!

If you have always felt shy about dancing, this is the time when you can secretly practise your dance moves at home. While at the beginning you are prompted by Dance Central on how to swing and move, subsequently you would be able to replicate those suave and smooth moves outside the living room at the ballroom and maybe even with a date.  Of course maybe those moves are not meant for the ballroom because you will be dancing to the tunes of Cant Get You Out of My Head by Kylie Minogue, Hella Good by No doubt and various other songs by Lady Gaga, No Doubt, M.I.A., Bell Biv Devoe, and more. Each song offers three levels of difficulties and each higher level offers more complex dance steps.

Dance Central was brought to you by Harmonix, the people who came up with the world-wide blockbuster Rock Band. Dance Central is also the first dance video game that features and tracks full-body dance moves. There is even a two-player battle mode which allows dance competitors to take turns and dance it out! The final score given by the game is the final factor which determines who is the dance champion. So on your marks, ready get set and dance! Dance Central will get you warmed up and dancing and if you are not fit you will also lose weight and become fit in no time. Perform some of the over 600 moves and 90 dance routines created by professional choreographers in the game and get ready to show to others what your dance moves are made of! 

Dance Central will make you fall in love with dancing and you never know if you can master these moves and become a pro. If you have already bought the Kinect, this is one of the other games that I thought you should buy to give it a try. Meant exclusively for the xbox and kinect, Dance Central, is a game where you can cruise yourself through songs and master moves, and earn achievements and unlock new character outfits and venues in the process. As you earn your stripes you will also progress through the dance ranks. The kinect cost is not great and you can choose not to buy the xbox 360 kinect 250gb to save some money, if the Dance Central game is something you really want but you do not have an Xbox. Dance Central is one of the few games which has made fuller use of the features of the Kinect, though I have a hunch that there are other features which have not been tapped. Being one of the newer dance kinect games, I do look forward to its sequel being released. While some of the dance moves out there are faster and more complex to form, I am happy to say that with practice, practice and more practice, I am getting better at it. Kinect Review Kinect Sports - Hi there again back to my blog on the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect Games Review. This is the blog where I bring you all the reviews on the latest Kinect games. In my last article I have talked about the Kinect Adventures, which is a Kinect game bundled together with the Kinect sensor. You do not have much choice of course but to get the game, unless you decide to buy the Kinect but throw away this free game! But do not be silly as you will be throwing away one of the best starter games for the Kinect. Anyways let us not get carried away by my previous post but to focus on the topic for today’s post, which is a new game review on the Kinect Sports game.

Now maybe the first thing I should tell you is that Kinect Sports is by far the best selling game for the Kinect console so far. It currently has 72 five and four stars reviews on Amazon and only 4 reviews which are 3 stars or lower. A look at the name of this Kinect game and you would know that something is fishy, the Kinect Sports game is a direct counter to Nintendo Wii’s Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort (which is the follow-up game to Wii Sports). Of course being a support of Microsoft’s Xbox and Kinect here, I am going to tell you that the Kinect Sports game wins hands down.

If you want to turn your living room into a world-class sporting event, you can now do so by playing various sporty games at the sports stadium, bowling alley, soccer pitch or even at the track-and-field. Kinect Sports features a variety of games such as soccer, beach volleyball, bowling, table tennis, track and field, and boxing. You can jump up to smash the volleyball, reach out to return a ping pong ball serve, do a long jump or even accelerate your running by jogging even faster on the spot. This game scores high marks for both fun and sweat!

Kinect Sports is currently one of my top three favourite games for the kinect on xbox 360. It is simple, fun and has great sensor tracking abilities. You even get a cute Xbox Live avatar on screen as you play as yourself! Try out the cooperative gameplays and play with the rest of the family! I personally like the boxing game best, maybe you can even invite your enemies to play with you! While things are easy at the beginner level, the difficulty levels increases to become more challenging as you go for the amateur and professional levels. This game appeals to both adult and kids and is really a very good family game.

Try out Kinect Sports for the ultimate gaming experience and for a full-body, controller-free sports game. No more using controllers and thus experience genuine sport take makes it seem almost like you are in the outdoors. Become a multisport athlete and try out all the different modes of play such as solo, cooperative and competitive play; compete against a friend, rally a whole room full of players into teams, or just play solo against the computer AI. Just be a famous sports star and you will be satisfied and be amply rewarded.

With Kinect Sports, anyone can become the next sports star of your own home. Even if you are not fit, I think playing this game is a great way to get fit and lose weight too. With the plenty of good reviews for this game, just what are you waiting for? You should get the Xbox 360 Kinect while stocks last.

Kinect for Xbox 360 Kinect Adventures Game - Hello there folks! This is my first blog on video games. I think many people have heard about the new Microsoft xbox 360 kinect. For those who already have the Xbox 360 you are in for a lucky treat because you can just buy the Kinect as an add on to your original Xbox video game console. Hold on wait a moment, but do you even know what the Kinect is? It is a new intelligent sensor from Microsoft that enhances your Xbox 360 gaming experience by being able to capture your motion, i.e. motion sensing equipment that lets you play motion sensing games. The Microsoft Kinect will bring fun and entertainment to your living room as it tracks your motion while playing great adventure games! If you think the Nintendo Wii or Playstation Move is cool, Microsoft has taken things one step further – your body is now the controller and you do not need any remote controllers when you play Kinect games! 

So if you want a video game console that gets you off the couch and into great shape then the Kinect is a great choice for you. I have noticed that they most of the games are into fitness and gets you to train hard and be extra fit as the Xbox Kinect is about sensing your whole body and the motion of your body parts. It is a little like how James Cameron created the three dimensional version of avatar. But there is this new level of interactivity with games that you would have never experienced before. For example, you will be able to interact with whatever is shown in the video game. See a ball? Why not kick it. Want to hold a teleconference? Another person joins in the built in camera instantly zooms out to include the new person. Life has just gotten very interesting!

The kinect for xbox 360 was created from the forefront of technology and even allows for body recognition. Before you purchase the Kinect, you should know that you would need a Xbox 360 console to connect it to. If you do not already have a Xbox console, no need to worry as you can buy an xbox 360 with kinect bundle. Such a package contains both the video gaming console as well as the Kinect sensor. You can also choose from the Xbox 360 4GB Console or the kinect 250gb xbox bundle. The only difference is that with 250GB, you can all the storage space you need for the games, music, movies, pictures or other media. If you do not have an Xbox, I would recommend that you get the xbox 360 and kinect bundle instead of just the gaming console as moving forward, most of the Xbox games would require the kinect sensor, unless the game is not so complex that the sensor is required.

Do note that you would need some room between the sensor and yourself (about 6 feet) to ensure that the games can be played properly. What is fun about this game is that you get to play a variety of entertaining activities with the whole family. There are five mini games all including 20,000 leaks, river rush, rallyball, reflex ridge and space pop. You have to use your body to ride the rapids or even navigate an obstacle course. Choose to jump, move sideways or even flap your arms but you cannot escape the motion sensing by the Kinect sensor. You can even take part in co-operative gameplay and experience the adventure together. But do look out if you decide to jump in opposite directions, your avatars may bump into each other too! If you want to be the Indiana Jones of your own living room, this game lets you have great fun at it. In the end you will be sweating but happy for more. With the Kinect Adventures Game, you are the controller as you jump, dodge and kick your way through exciting adventures set in a variety of exotic locations.

I guess since this game is already bundled with the Kinect, you do not have to make an additional choice on whether to buy this game. But I do hope my simple review on this Xbox kinect game and also on the Kinect itself will get you interested to try out this entirely new gaming experience. This game is however a great introduction to the Kinect and pretty much sets up the expectations of space and physical fitness required to play Kinect games.
